Kevin and Marsha Seymour

Kevin and Marsha Seymour serve as the Senior Pastors of Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, where they joyfully lead with a deep love for Jesus and His church. Married for 40 years and parents to six children, they model a life of wholehearted devotion to the Lord and to the family and community He has placed around them.

Kevin and Marsha carry a passionate desire to see the Word and the Spirit fully alive in the body of Christ, with Scripture faithfully taught and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit welcomed and practiced. Their heart is to equip believers through intentional discipleship, clear biblical teaching, and a lifestyle of worship that overflows beyond Sunday gatherings into everyday life.

Marsha faithfully serves Hope Community as a worship leader and a peer-to-peer discipleship leader. She also helps cultivate an atmosphere of praise for all ages, raising up young worshipers, teens, and adults as world-changers and joyful worshippers. Kevin and Marsha are known as a dynamic duo with a continual “yes” in their hearts to wherever the Lord leads, consistently pursuing the heart and will of Jesus together and inviting the Hope Community family to do the same.

    Ed True

    Ed True serves as our Senior Adult Pastor and Guardian Childcare Chaplain. Ed and his wife Beth, have a heart for ministry and the gift of encouragement. He and his wife, Beth, were married in 1971 and have been blessed with four children: Jodie Bruce, Josh True, Hayley Herta, and Shelby True. Pastor Ed’s guiding words come from his favorite quote: “Live in such a way that those who know you but don’t know God will come to know God because they know you.”

    Jim Chuvalas

    Jim Chuvalas serves as our Discipleship Pastor and has been married to his wife, Debbie, since 1992. Together, they have five children—Brandon, Tiffany, Nicki, Dani, and Carmen. Jim’s heart for ministry is shaped by his deep conviction that every step of his life has been guided by Jesus, reflected in one of his favorite quotes: “When I survey my whole life I clearly see that EVERYTHING I’ve experienced or accomplished has been because of Jesus. I know that apart from him I can do nothing!”

    Toni Miller

    Toni Miller serves as our Family Life Pastor, coming alongside families to strengthen faith and relationships across generations. She married her husband, Tom, in 1993, and together they are blessed with six children: Kayla, Gregory, Emily, Isaac, Jacob, and Madilynn. Toni’s heart for ministry is shaped by the words of John R.W. Stott: “The authority by which the Christian leader leads is not power but love, not force but example, not coercion but reasoned persuasion. Leaders have power, but power is safe only in the hands of those who humble themselves to serve.”

    Melissa Keller

    Melissa has served as our Office Administrator, bringing warmth, organization, and a heart for serving people. She and her husband, Dennis, were married in 1997, and together they have three children—Eric, Nathan, and Sarah. Melissa’s favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart,” a reminder of her deep reliance on God’s guidance in both work and family life.

    Anna Karns

    Anna Karns serves as the Co-Director of Guardian Day Care. She and her husband, Scott, were married in 2012 and are proud parents to Kennedy, Cade, and Cohen. Anna is passionate about creating a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children can grow and learn. Her favorite quote is, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin.

    Rebekah Franklin

    Rebekah Franklin serves as Co-Director of Guardian Day Care, where she is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. She married her husband, Terry “T” Franklin II, in 2008, and together they are blessed with two sons, Jacob and Randall. Rebekah is inspired by the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
